小班化宏志教导特色校——扬州市田家炳尝试中学

    扬州市田家炳尝试中学(原扬州市第五中学),位于汗青悠长的古城区皮市街,东邻朱自清故宅,南连晚清第一园何园。黉舍建立于1948年,是一一切着近七十年办学汗青、文明秘闻深挚、师资优异、特色光鲜的公办自力初中。

A Distinctive Middle School with an Emphasis on Small-sized Class and Hongzhi Education

---Yangzhou Tianjiabing Middle School

 Yangzhou Tianjiabing Middle School (originally Yangzhou No.5 Middle School) is located on Pishi Street in the time-honored central area of Yangzhou, with Former Residence of Zhu Ziqing to the east and Ho Family Garden, the first garden in the late Qing dynasty, to the south. Founded in 1948, it is a public middle school with a long history of nearly 70 years, rich culture, excellent staff and distinctive characteristics.

 Yangzhou Tianjiabing Middle School has a batch of well-qualified teachers including National Models, Provincial Special-Grade Teachers, the first batch of Provincial Famous Teachers, Provincial Model Teachers, etc. It is entitled Model School for Educational Modernization, Safe Campus, Top School for Health Promotion, Water Saving School, Model School for Drug Prevention Education by Jiangsu Province.

In 2007, small-sized class teaching model was fully implemented, with each class no more than 35 students. In 2013, the school was responsible for Hongzhi Education, since when nearly 200 excellent students are subsidized each year. Faced with the eager anticipation of citizens, the school continues to find a good way forward for Hongzhi Education and thus creates the love-centered school spirit. Guided by the school motto, ‘Erudition, Excellence, Elegance’ and the school ethos, ‘Reading, Singing, Laughing’, the school puts forward the requirement of ‘Loving Every Student’ and adheres to the principle of ‘Running the School with Parental Love’ and ‘Teaching Students with Parental Love’. Students’ need and development is the first priority of running the school.

 In terms of teaching management, the school attempts to promote classroom teaching and improve teaching quality. The teaching requirement, ‘Six Tens’, and the teaching pattern, ‘Step-level’, have been proposed to motivate student learning, encourage student participation and ensure teaching efficiency. With these efforts, small-sized class teaching delivers satisfactory results. In terms of moral education, the school puts quality education first. The scheme ‘P.A.T.H.S. to Adulthood’ led by Tin Ka Ping Foundation has been introduced and the project ‘Four Cans and Six Haves’ has been launched to facilitate student independent development. The school also explores the features and the development path of Hongzhi Education. By organizing related activities, the school advocates the spirit of ‘self-improvement, diligence and gratitude’ to inspire students to be ‘hard-working, intelligent and outstanding’ and to vigorously enhance students’ moral quality. In terms of administrative management, How Excellence is Tempered about 80 management procedures has been drawn up to maintain teaching, regulate administration and improve efficiency.
